Once in a while I play some games on my Sega Game Gear. The biggest drawback for me is not the underwhelming screen quality, but the abysmal battery life. It drains six AA batteries empty in a blink of an eye. Let’s fix that.
The thing that tanks the battery life the most is the fluorescent light it uses to backlight the screen. Technology hadn’t evolved enough to make an energy efficient backlight.
