You can mount a default Gotek drive in your Amiga 500 just fine. But to use the buttons you will need to cut into the Amiga 500 case. Or do you..?
The kit I use in this video takes away the need to cut the case, by leading the wires outside the Amiga into a little external unit with a rotery switch and display.
