The Casio F‑91W Smartwatch Upgrade

A few years ago I bought myself a Casio F91W, Casio’s most selling model of all time. It’s even the second most sold watch in the world, only beaten by the Apple Watch.

I love the 80’s look, its light weight and long battery life. What I do not like however is how you operate it. These classic Casio watches have a 3 button interface, which I just can’t get used to. Whenever I need to set an alarm I end up changing the time. It doesn’t help that the other Casio I wear, a W217H, uses its 3 buttons differently. I hate it.

Recently I discovered the Ollee Watch; a drop-in replacement PCB for the F91W. This tiny PCB add bluetooth, a motion sensor, a temperature sensor an RGB-backlight and a ton of settings in an App. This could potentially fix all my issues with the watch without compromising the look.

In this video, after using the Ollee Watch for about a month, I show you what I like and don’t like about this modern mod for a classic watch.
